The Topas Eco Lodge has a perfect location - situated atop two cone formed hills, set deep in the spectacular Sapa valley of Northern Vietnam.

The eco lodge consists of 25 individual lodges placed in a circle around the hills. From the lodge there are breathtaking views across the scenic valleys below, which are home to villages of the Tay and Red Dao minorities.

Topas Eco Lodge will be based on ecological principles. We use solar technology to supply every lodge with energy. We have implemented a wastewater facility to avoid pollution of the local area. All this is designed to ensure that the Lodge has a minimum impact on the surrounding environment. We employ local people and use local products and goods, in order to bring economic benefits to the local community.

Topas Eco Lodge has been built by local constructors and skilled local people. Staffing the Lodge with local people offers them opportunities for employment throughout the year.

facilities & services

All the 25 bungalows are built of natural materials such as white granite and golden hardwood, and each bungalow has its own private balcony with a magnificent view. The interior design is invitingly pleasant but simple, without air-conditioners, TV or Mini bars. All bungalows have double or twin beds and a private bathroom. Lighting and warm water are provided by the bungalow's own solar energy panel

Restaurant
The restaurant is an old traditional Tay stilt house. It was carefully moved piece by piece from its original site and reassembled at the lodge with more equipment to meet modern standards while respecting its original and historical qualities. All the meals are served in the lodge's restaurant. The food is served either as a set menu or buffet. It's all Vietnamese food cooked and served by minority people from the surrounding villages.

Rooms & rates

• All rates are in USD, including buffet breakfast, VAT & service charges.
• Maximum of occupancy per bungalow is 3 adults (one staying in extra bed) or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years of old.
  Extra bed (maximum 1 extra bed per bungalow), including breakfast, are 20++/ adult; 14++/child from 4 to under 12 years old.
• No extra charge for child under 12 sharing bed with parents.
• Compulsory Christmas and New Year Gala Dinners: US$25 per person
  
• Check-in time at 13:00 or sooner, Check-out time at 12:00.
• Payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, Traveler's Cheques, Bank Transfer and Cash.
• All rates are subject to change without notice
